Direction - Argentina

March 7, 2008

The Junior Women National Team is leaving today (March 7th) for Argentina to play in the Junior Women Pan American Championship.

The draw of the groups was held March 3 rd by the Vice-President of Competitions of the PATHF in Cuba . Canada is in Group A, with the hosting country Argentina , Mexico and Chile . Group B will be composed of Brazil , Puerto Rico , Uruguay and Greenland .

The coaches ( Nathalie Brochu -Head Coach and Michael Nahmiash – Assistant-Coach) were pleased by the draw. “We are in a good group, even thought Argentina is the clear favorite of the group, we believe we have a chance against Mexico and Chile . It is not going to be easy, but finishing 2 nd in the group and win a shot to qualify for the World Championship is reachable”, mentioned Coach Brochu. Since the Junior Women World Championship will be in Brazil , two other countries from the PATHF should get a ticket for the Worlds. Therefore the last ticket for the Worlds might be the bronze medal game. The team is composed by:
