Heart breaking lost against Mexico 23-24

March 12, 2008

The Junior Women played there first game of the Pan American Championship yesterday. It was a very nervous start mentioned assistant coach Michael Nahmiash, the girls seem afraid to take initiative, so after one half we were losing 6-10. We bounced back in second half and played with more assurance to tie the game, however Mexico were able to take another lead of 4 goals with 3 minutes to go. We fought until the end and came back to one goal difference, but too far too late and we lost 23-24. In the lost, Sandie Taillefer was great with a perfect 8 in 8 and Audrey Delage scored 6 in 9. Tomorrow, the Junior Team needs to bounce back against Chili and they will need Chili to beat Mexico or to surprise Argentina to move into the semis.
